"Bill's Sexy Steffy Flashback Has Fans Fired Up"

The possibilities seemed delicious when Liam first forced Bill to hand over the reins to the company, but it’s been somewhat downhill from there as the Spencer drama feels plot-driven. Sally’s been watered down, and Brooke’s flip-flopping for the trillionth time, which holds very little appeal. On the bright side, there's controversy stirring about a possible Bill/Steffy pairing, Katie and Wyatt’s chemistry continues to enthrall many viewers (when he’s not whining), and Eric is keeping a secret from Quinn that Sheila is also privy to, so that’s bound to bring drama. Thoughts:

Live and learn?
Eric continues to be a dumbass when it comes to women; you’d think by now he’d be able to draw on his plethora of experiences and deduce that it’s a bad idea to keep a secret from his wife, particularly after a secret nearly ended their marriage, and especially when your wife’s manipulative nemesis also knows the secret, and your wife’s other nemesis is the one secretly sexing up your wife’s son. Eek. Oh, and there's this:

Also happening in the Land of Eric, Sheila’s gotten her hooks into his hunky new employee, and plans to have him seduce Quinn, thus ending her marriage to Eric and paving the way for Sheila’s portrait to be placed above the mantle. While I’m not necessarily a fan of Brad Bell introducing a new character when it would make more sense to play Ridge and Quinn’s unquenched sexual attraction, it could be entertaining to see Eric and Quinn contend with Mateo, the estate manager with the magic hands, so we’ll see how it goes.

It’s just too obvious where the Liam/Sally/Steffy/Bill situation is headed and it feels like they are all behaving somewhat out-of-character to enable this plot. From Brooke walking away from Bill, to Steffy supporting Bill over Liam, to Liam being totally unwilling to yield, to Sally gushing, it all seems a little out of whack. I don’t even know anymore how I feel about the Brooke/Bill situation because of the way she’s been written. Regardless of whether viewers want her with Bill or Ridge, flip-flopping from one to the other and back again without even a breath in between is unappealing…and so ‘been there, done that’. The hottest topic that emerged was Bill thinking about seducing Steffy, which is exciting for those who wanted that pairing previously, but bothers some as she’s his daughter-in-law and has been with both of his sons.

As for Liam trying to entice Wyatt over to his side, in the last Deconstructing B&B, Wyatt seemed to be a wildcard, but he clearly came out as loyal to Bill this week, which kind of quashed any hopes for a twist there. That said, Bill has yet to find out that Wyatt’s hooking up with Katie, which could be a game-changer.

This is an opinion piece.
